He who loves father, mother, or children more than Me is not worthy of me.

Hoggishness is gross selfishness, gluttony, and filth.

Secret eating is eating alone in order to hide our food choices or act of eating from others.

Insatiability is being incapable of being satisfied.

Illness as medicine to the passions.

Gluttony is excess eating or drinking, it is rushing through food, it is mindlessly eating, and it is being excessively particular about what we eat.

Over-eating is a form of gluttony of the consumption of food that is beyond what our body needs.

Sensuality is the desire to have pleasurable experiences.

Torpor is a state of insensibility, dullness, and indifference.

Doltishness is a dullness of mind that is slow to respond.

Satiety is eating to fullness. It seeks comfort, undue enjoyment, and satisfaction from food.

Foulness is gross and obscene language and behavior.

Infatuation is the intense, unreasonable attraction to someone.

Behold the Bridegroom is coming in the middle of the night, will the door be opened for you?

Boastfulness is to vainly bring light to our virtue to receive the praise of men.

How do we translate spiritual inspiration to daily implementation with discernment and obedience?

Self-elation is the feeling of intense joy and satisfaction in oneself for an accomplishment or act of virtue.

Presumption is to act with conceit and to falsely judge an idea as true although in reality it is unknown for certain.

Pride is an opponent of God, that leads us to despise our neighbor, reject obedience, and act without compassion.

Self-esteem is the excessive value we place on our self-image and own opinions.

Listlessness is the dissatisfaction with our duties that leads to inactivity or excessive busyness.

The value of manual labor as a family.

Dejection is evil sadness fueled by self-pity and despairing thoughts.

Anger is the sudden movement in the soul that seeks to correct and injure the one who wronged it.

Avarice is the love of money, the worship of an idol, that stems from a lack of faith.

Unchastity is to give ourselves over to carnal desires.

Voracity is an excessive appetite for food, pleasure, or power. It seeks to fill the void that only God can.

Dissoluteness is sinking to a state of low moral standard and behavior. 

Soft-living is to reject the salvific cup of suffering.

We need to strive to take joy in the good we see in others.

Sometimes we need corrected, and it is done for our good done out of love.

Eating of unclean foods is the eating of any foods that fails to aid us in our spiritual life.

Defilement is to be made unclean or impure and we must be aware of that one passion that is likely to lead to our defilement. 

 

Witchcraft is the practice of evil magic and spells.

Audacity is to act with excessive boldness.

Delusion is accepting a mirage for the truth.

Deceit is the intentional beguiling of another. 

Lack of progress is the failure to grow in virtue and unity with Christ due to a lack of consistency or perseverance.

Inattentiveness is a lack of focus and watchfulness over your heart.

Self-love is the desire to preserve our bodily comfort and self-image. It is a resistance to sacrifice.

Indolence is an inclination toward laziness, avoidance of activity or exertion.

Loquacity is the quality of being very talkative.

Profligacy is a leading a shameless, immoral life given up dissipation and licentiousness with no indication of remorse. 

Dissipation is the scattering and dispersing of our attention, a cooling of our heart, and a loss of recollection.

Love of idols is to have your heart set on possessions and is invariably associated with the rejection of God.

Scurvy may be preferrable over self-love. 

Denial of God is when the creature forgets that he came from the Creator.

Sorcery is the practice of exercising preternatural power over person and things with the aid of the evil spirts.

Divination is to seek after knowledge of future events through occult practices.

Astrology is a form of divination based on the theory that planets and stars influence human affairs.

Magic is the attempt to manipulate supernatural forces or to gain power over events outside of God's will. 

Impiety is a lack of reverence for God and sacred items.

Ignorance of God is failing to seek out God, His teaching, and His will. Ignorance of God obscures the Truth.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Idolatry is the Divine worship given to anyone or anything other than the True God.

Polytheism is the belief and worship in multiple gods. 

Fellowship in heresy is to join or lead others to believe a teaching that is a distortion or denial of the Gospel.

Heresy is holding onto a belief that contradicts a teaching of the Church.

Poverty of faith is to doubt God's goodness and to not trust in Him fully. 

Wrong belief is an error in our understanding of the truth revealed by Christ through His Church.

Lack of faith is the difficulty believing in God's Providence and Goodness in all situations.

Learning the need for firm purpose of amendment can be a painful process. 

Unbelief is a gradual loss of faith, a slow turning to the world that is difficult to perceive at first, and leaves the person void of the Truth.

Transgression is a deliberate violation of God's law.

Aberration is our tendency to change and inconstancy. 

The thought, words, or actions that God and His sacraments are not worthy of our respect.

Reprehensible despondency is the refusal to fight against evil sadness, it is the road to spiritual gloom, and despair. 

Laziness is a waste of the gift of time.

Negligence is a lack of diligence to carry out one's duties. It is a lack of care in the fulfillment of an obligation.  

Striving to live domestic monasticism. 

Weakness if intellect is difficulty comprehending and applying the truth due to darkening of the mind through sin and worldly wisdom.

Enervation is lacking strength or vitality. It is spiritual weakness and feebleness. 

Sickness of soul is the pain and suffering caused by sin to our soul associated with a loss of desire to fulfill God's commandments.

Stumbling is sin through weakness or a momentary lapse in attentiveness. 

The tendency to a particular sin acquired through repetition. 

The struggle to balance needed technology with our responsibility to cultivate holy rest in Christ. 

Excessive pampering of our sensory desires and an unwillingness to mortify our flesh to grow in virtue.

To act without full attention to our thoughts. A failure to expel evil thoughts and to indulge in them for amusement.

Rejecting comfort to prepare for the cross.

The initial enticement to sin that assails a person from the outside.

Entertaining and playing with a sinful thought.

Assent to evil is the approval and cooperation with sinful thoughts or actions.

Seduction is the enticement of another to engage in carnal or impure relations.

Passion is an appetite or impulse that violently attack the soul and incline it to evil. 

Criminality is the passion and state of a person who transgresses the law.

Lawlessness is the deceptive attraction of evil and the flippant disregard for what is good and true. 

Keep mowers and marriages moving forward.

Sinfulness according to the Way of the Pilgrim is to have no love for God, no love for my neighbor, to have no religious belief, and to be filled with pride and sensual self-love

Wrongdoing is improper or evil behavior.

Breaking of faith is a breach of loyalty, a betrayal of trust, or failure to keep a promise.

Talking that is unnecessary and excessive. It often leads to gossip, lying, and vanity. 

Slothfulness is a failure to fulfill one's duty to God to exert oneself in the pursuit of virtue due to an emptiness of soul, a lack of zeal, or evil sadness.

A conscienceless soul is one that has lost the ability to make sound judgments between what is good and evil.

Evil intention is a desire to act against God's will and corrupt a good action or can be blameworthy even if no action is completed.
